How FastCart Works
FastCart can be easily and quickly integrated into any website whether it's a static-page HTML site, or a database driven website. It doesn't matter if your website is hosted here on a FastCart server, or any other webserver. FastCart is perfect if your ISP/web-host won't let you run CGI scripts because all the data transactions happens on our end! All you do is add some HTML code to your pages, and your new online store is open for business!Just follow these simple steps :
- 1. Sign up for a FastCart account(5 min)
- Choose a login name and provide some basic information about your site.
- 2. Configure your site in the Store Manager(10 min)
- You can set preferences for store colors and layout to make your checkout pages match the look of your website, manage your products, set up shipping and sales tax rules, view all your customer and order details and more!
- 3. Add FastCart HTML snippets to your web site(2 min to do your first product)
- Use the HTML wizard to make snippets of code for your webpages. Choose options like size/colors and decide how you want the Add To Cart options to work! We don't limit you to only one way like our competitors do.
- 4. Start taking orders!
- Orders will be emailed to you and will be available in the reports section of the Store Manager!

How Your Customers Will Shop Your Website
Shoppers come to your website located wherever it may be. They stay on the pages within your site until they either 1) Add an item to their shopping cart, click a "view Cart" link or "checkout" link that you've added to your site. Those pages are located on the FastCart server, and are configurable to look however you want within the Store Manager.Here's a model of how a web-shopper will make purchases from your FastCart online store:
